We find all the cool places that no one writes about… Wandrlust seeks interesting restaurants, architecture, and hidden locales that no one else has discovered.
All right. I was feeling a bit pigeonholed by my material on here. I am a bit to specific on the precise nature of what I want this site to be. So to simplify, diversify, and stupefy I have created an addendum for Wandrlust; The Wandrlustr via tumblr. The link of which is located over in this region.
That being said the web series I am a co-person on, Valley Peaks, has finally launched after an inordinate amount of time. Episodes 1 and 2 are currently viewable on You Tube and our website Valley Peaks, tell your friends and enemies. Episode One can be viewed above but click the video and watch it on High Quality on the You Tube or our site. From now on new episodes of Valley Peaks will be announced and viewable from the The Wandrlustr, not Wandrlust. That is where you will find Episode Two.
I hope you enjoy the new editions to the Wandrlust family, find yourself.
February came and went without really noticing I wasn’t updating – for those that care – I promise to not let a month pass by like that again. I will attempt, as I had in the past, to have at least 4 new post a month. That is a promise to me, for you the reader, which you can hold me accountable for from this point on. That being said, I am extremely picky about the content I am choosing for this site, if anything I am trying to write almost specifically about things that aren’t readily found on the internet (or anywhere for that matter), curiosities that only have small mentions or blurbs on other websites – which you can find a certain amount of depth on here and here only.
Welcome to Wandrlust and welcome to the end of malaise.
How often do you find yourself sitting in your home, wishing there was something to do? Brutally fighting with your significant other or dealing with your own indecision regarding where to eat? Every place we live, or want to visit, has something interesting waiting to be uncovered and here at Wandrlust we do the work for you.
With an architectural bent, Wandrlust (who needs a silent ‘e’ anyway) is a site devoted to the art of travel and urban exploration. Whether it’s food, overlooked travel destinations, roadside architecture, or even an undiscovered gem in your backyard, anything is game as long as it’s more interesting then not making a choice at all.
Today’s culture exploits the idea of familiarity, a familiarity that pigeonholes our choices. People eat at Chili’s because they know it, not because it is good and the act of trying somewhere new can sometimes be risky business, ending up in a not so happy trip to the bathroom.
We here at Wandrlust are taking malaise and indecision head on. Our goal is to share our wisdom, brilliance, big smarts, and well researched finds with you. Giving you addresses, reviews, photo and video content – there is a myriad of possibilities for super neat awesome time adventure… time.
As the site grows, so will our ability to present you information – there is much planned for the future - but for now, receive us and let us fill you with our Wandrlust.
